Want To Get Healthy In 2017: Read This!

With Over 25 Years In The Natural Health & Wellness Profession, Here Are 6 Quick Tips...

1. Take Accountability For What You Do To Your Body & What You Put In It.

Looking to shift the blame of our short-comings or our situation on others or outside circumstances will keep you spinning your wheels and perpetuate a negative environment in your life.  Make a commitment to yourself that you will treat your body like the wonderful creation it is.  Only YOU can allow what you put into it and what you do to it.  Eat right, consume less chemicals, look for whole, organic foods as much as you can & avoid processed foods.

2. Drink More Water.

Our bodies are over 90% water and most of us are dehydrated.  This leads to a lot of dysfunction and oxidation in the body.  Oxidation is the process of cells dying to soon & too fast for your body to control, accelerating the aging process.  Think of paint fading on a car.  Drinking half of your body weight of pure water in ounces per day is a good reference point.  This does not include coffee, tea or cool aide.

3. Do Something You Enjoy Every Day.

We are physical & spiritual beings and having our lives in balance means that the physical, emotional and spiritual components are functioning together in peace and harmony; what we call homeostasis. By doing something you enjoy every day, you de-stress your mind and body, allowing for an easier healing process.  Remember, drugs don't heal anything, your body does.

4. Eat More Greens.

Green foods contain chlorophyll, which contains oxygen.  When you eat green foods, you oxygenate your blood, which in turn, delivers oxygen to your body tissues.  Eating these foods raw, as much as you can, is one of the single best dietary choices you can make.  When you cook these foods, you loose most of their value.  If you have to cook, remember this order: steaming is best, sauteing in olive or avocado oil is next best, boiling is the least best & microwaving is the worst.

5. Move More Throughout The Day.

As Americans in general, we are a lazy people.  If we have to run to the corner store, we hop in the car. Walking or bicycling are 2 of the easiest ways to get your body moving and get your heart healthier. Swimming is also great as you use every major muscle group and don't put any stress on your joints. You don't have to do anything official or regimented, just move more--even if you have to walk around the house every day.

6. Get Adjusted.

Your nervous system controls and coordinates EVERYTHING that your body does, including any and all healing processes.  Your body can't heal itself efficiently if there is nervous system interference in your spine.  Chiropractic adjustments remove nervous system interference, turning on the doctor inside of you for optimum health & wellness.

These are some basic tips to get you going in the right direction, however, there is a lot more you can do for yourself.  Check out our blog to see other healthy living tips.
